My artistic journey in New York City has spanned nearly four decades and crosses drawing, video & sound, installation, and intermedia collaborations. I draw my creative inspiration from everyday experiences and social realities reflecting life's uncertainty, inherent complexities and ambiguity. Language can be limited when expressing my artistic thoughts. What consistently fascinate me are the inexplicable truths and unseen wisdom that emerge from the creative process. In my current project, Moving Drawing, I approach the experience of drawing, video and sound editing in an interconnected way to create meaningful expressions, convey intricate feelings and broaden understanding. My work has been seen in numerous gallery exhibitions, museums, screenings, and project spaces nationally and internationally since 1990. I had one-person shows at Sarah Lawrence College, Open Source, Momenta Art two-person show, Gallery 456, and a one-person drawing show at the 2012 Governors Island Art Fair. Selected group shows of my drawings include "LINES," the FLATFILE online gallery, Ethan Cohen Kube Gallery, Pierogi Gallery/Flat Files, BRIC House Gallery, and Lorimoto Gallery. Recent video and intermedia shows include Dumbo Glow projection night curated by Leo Kuelbs and Adrian Pocobelli, "The Subtle Cure" screening curated by Bradley Eros at Synesthesia Gallery in Brooklyn, "Ultra Shorts and NFTs" Dumbo Glow projection night, the LIGHT YEAR 90 International Video Art Exhibition in Dumbo and Berlin, and the NEUMERAKI Project. I also collaborated with musicians and creative teams – my video with Michael Vincent Waller's composition at Experimental Intermedia's 20th Screen Compositions in March 2024 curated by Katherine Liberovskaya. In 2023, a video and sound collaboration with David Graves, the musician and creator of "LEONIA" as part of his "INVISIBLE CITIES" project, won 2nd Place at b. j. spoke gallery Expo 42. In 2021 – the CreArtBox Winter Music Festival and the CreArt Interactive Web Music Festival, and in 2020 – the Creative Code Art Festival. I am a graduate of UCLA with an MFA in Interrelated Media from MassArt. I was an Honorary Fellowship recipient at the Djerassi Artist Residency, an awarded Artist Resident at McColl (Tryon) Center for Visual Art, an awarded Pingtung Peninsula International Arts Festival residency in Taiwan (past), and a former AIM and FISEA artist.
